Fiber optic strain sensor

Fiber optic strain sensor that suppresses residual strain over a wide temperature range.

Fiber optic strain sensors are compact, high-precision devices designed for high-temperature strain measurement. They are unaffected by EMI/RFI interference and can operate in highly corrosive environments, representing the latest technology in strain measurement. They can control residual strain to typically below 0.5μ_/°C over a wide temperature range, enabling strain measurement even in thermal environments that are challenging for conventional sensors. All fiber optic sensors (temperature, displacement, pressure, strain, load) can be used in combination, offering cost advantages and convenience. We provide a variety of rich conditioners depending on static and dynamic measurements and the number of channels, accommodating various applications. ● Immune to EMI/RFI/lightning effects ● Explosion-proof ● Static and dynamic response ● Resolution of 0.01% of full scale ● Long-distance transmission ● No issues from fiber bending *For more details, please inquire through document requests or downloads.

Fiber Optic Strain Sensor "Bridge Monitoring Technology"

Introducing the monitoring technology of sensors that will carry the future of strain measurement.

Fiber optic strain sensors are compact, high-precision devices capable of measuring strain in high-temperature environments. They are designed to be unaffected by EMI/RFI and can operate in highly corrosive environments, utilizing the latest technology. The measurement of strain using fiber optic sensors is particularly suitable for reinforcement systems in composite materials and concrete structures. The fiber optic strain gauge has a diameter of 0.3 mm and behaves similarly to the FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer) used for reinforcement. Since the main material is the same as FOS-B, it can be easily installed between composite sheets. Tests were conducted at a research facility by bonding FOS-B to a concrete cylinder, which demonstrated that monitoring strain in concrete is possible using this sensor. 【Features】 - Capable of measuring the strain state applied to concrete - Supplied for reinforcement projects on elevated highways in Singapore, among others *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Fiber Optic Strain Sensor 'Regarding Bridge Instrumentation'

Application note on bridge instrumentation due to environmental changes and heavy loads during vehicle passage.

Fiber optic strain sensors are compact, high-precision devices capable of measuring strain in high-temperature environments. They are designed to be unaffected by EMI/RFI interference and can operate in highly corrosive environments, utilizing the latest technology. The Joffre Bridge in Seabrook was reconstructed in 1997 to demonstrate the feasibility of remote monitoring using fiber optic sensors, reinforcement of the bridge with FRP, and the use of fiber optic sensors. As a result, the deflection of the bridge's superstructure and the response to FP reinforcement fell within acceptable limits, and the bridge's condition is now being monitored over an extended period using a system capable of collecting data from 32 channels of fiber sensors. This application example has proven that Fabry-Perot fiber optic sensors are suitable for both short-term and long-term monitoring of bridge conditions. 【Features】 - Measurement of environmental changes and behavior due to heavy loads from vehicle traffic on FRP-reinforced bridges - Proven suitability for monitoring bridge conditions - Currently active in various fields, etc. *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Fiber Optic Strain Sensor "Strain Monitoring for Die Casting"

Application Note for Optical Fiber Strain Sensors Ideal for Measuring Metal Deformation

Fiber optic strain sensors are compact, high-precision devices that can measure strain in high-temperature environments and are unaffected by EMI/RFI, making them suitable for measurements in highly corrosive environments. These sensors are used in the monitoring of manufacturing processes employing the "die-casting method" for the production of metal components. Due to their accuracy and high precision, they are ideal for measuring metal strain and are designed to be used in harsh environments, such as metal casting, where they are not affected by EMI. Manufacturers in the United States, among others, are currently implementing FISO's fiber optic strain sensors to successfully reduce costs by monitoring the clamping force of machines during casting. 【Main Equipment Used】 ■FOS: Fiber Optic Strain Gauge ■UMI-4: Signal Conditioner *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.
